I also don't find network-admin. I am on Debian and it looks like you are
not. dbus permissions are also set in the /etc/dbus-1
Look there for the service to find out what is causing the problem when I click in the Trinity menu, configuration,
network,
[TDE menu >> Settings >> Network Settings] is:
tdecmshell kcm_knetworkconfmodule
[TDE menu >> Settings >> Network Connections] is:
nm-connection-editor
which is from package 'network-manager-gnome' so probably not of use to you.
