I'm using two 21" CRT displays, one connected

case, having such "adapter ladder" makes system forget about
monitor's default modes, obtained in Linux by VESA digital signals.
To fix the problem, I have a shell script which starts when my
laptop is docked or starts docked. This script consists of xrandr
commands, like: - Turn off notebook's internal display - Turn VGA
monitor on - Insert modeline to DVI. - Turn on DVI, right of VGA. -
Select resolution from inserted modeline. Personally I couldn't fix
the problem in any GUI solution, or without modelines. MCbx
All of which raises the question: "What is the "Monitor and Display"
option in the TDE Control Centre is for?"
