Is kviewshell-trinity installed? I searched
synaptic for
"konqueror+image view" and got gwenview-trinity, konq-plugins-trinity,
and kviewshell-trinity.

As soon as gwenview was added (the two others were there) I got image view. I
have not tried removing one of the others but those who wish to have image
view should install these trhee packages.
