Hi,
We use conky to have some informations displayed on the desktop. With
conky, you can display any results of a command.

As Kommander isn't working anymore in new 3.5.13, I won't recommand it
but it should have also been a solution to do your own little window
with information.

Does anyone know if there is an applet for kicker
that runs
periodically a script and displays it's output. I have a script that
once run displays me current CPU temp. Usually I run periodically in a
terminal using watch command, but I'd like to incorporate it's result
into kicker panel, since running a konsole for just one command that
displays something like "64C" is a little overkill to me, and uses too
much of my workspace.
