It depends on what you are browsing - sftp://, man:/, etc. Pretty much the only thing Konqueror cannot browse is resource hungry web sites. While I'd love to see that change, I'm not holding my breath. Despite that, Konqueror remains my primary desktop application because I can do/start anything with/from Konqueror.
I used to use and love Konqueror. For years. But it has become unbearably slow for me. Probably some config I have got somewhere, but it is really painful. So I now no longer use it on the web, only on my desktop.
