Do you really think kdelibs5 is a fully off limits? I tried to see if I
could get the early KDE4 version of Kicker to run on KDE 4.9 and it
turned out to work quite ok and not too slow once I had it mostly working.
I could imagine some kind of migration path where applications would
migrate one by one from tdelibs to kdelibs5 in the future.
