As I am using a lot of UTF (German, Cyrillic) I spent some time last year to fix what was annoying me in the past 10y :D Slavek also added his magic snip of salt, so I now build 14.1 which should be similar to 14.0.5 in terms of UTF and I do not see any issue except this specific kmail titles only on specific html mails. Perhaps you try 14.0.5 and/or check your settings - LANG="en_US.UTF-8" - or similar should be sufficient. I am on debian and can not speak for anything else regards
