And in keyboard prefs, a generic 104 key was not selected because the checkbox at the top of the window was not checked, ghosting everything out. This keyboard itself is an about 126 key Logitech k360. Its a slightly odd keyboard, with square sided, not tapered keys as I like to use the same keyboard on all my machines, and the other 3 keyboards are in what can best be described as very hostile environments, with flying cuttings from the machines landing on the keyboard, the straight sided keys do not jam down from a metallic cutting getting into the area between the key's side, and the keyboards keyframe, near as easily as a tapered side key does. I found a membrane supplier who makes a cover for this keyboard, but I find I have to use additional force when typing or it doesn't register. Makes writing gcode more difficult, but thats how it is. So the bottom line is that the system seems to have a decent default response, and only one hotkey combo works, and does so without an actual setting other than a default US keyboard because none is selected. That multiselector menu offers a lot of different makers keyboards but the list is old and doesn't include the K360 as a specific choice. And for the ksnapshot function, only the FN+home key works HERE. And apparently only if focus is on an empty spot on the screen. Neither the Ctrl+home, nor the Alt+home as shown above works. How it arrives at that, based on what I can see, I obviously haven't a clue. Best I can do is call it a nilmerG.
