"password for root is toor." I think you're thinking of Slax (a Slackware-based live CD). Or another Slackware-based distro.

Hi, I just installed ExeGnu on a USB stick, but KDM asks for user and password. I tried everything I could imagine, but nothing worked. Can you help, please? Thanks Jose Tadeu
Frrrom very long ago, I seem ( repeat:seem) to remember that the password for root is toor. After that, My RAM goes blank. (blanc ? )
Passwords and user for the exegnu live image is the same as the Debian Live standard. The username is "user" and the user password is "live". There is no root password set but passwordless sudo is enabled for the live session.
The reason why you see the kdm password box is to allow the user to choose xfce if wanted. It defaults to Trinity after a short timeout or on pressing "Enter"
Hope that answers the problem!
