Horses for courses, Alexandre. I administered PCLOS for a couple
of years for my husband and granddaughter. There were good
points, but I didn't particularly like it long term. Of course,
I haven't actually run it for a while, so I may be out of date,
but the same, I suspect, applies to your experience of Debian.
As I get older, the attraction of a quiet life grows greater. I
now administer four boxen: 3 desktops and one laptop. All four
run Debian 7 and TDE 3.5.13.2. All 4 users/owners are happy. will be interested to see
how that debate plays out but I'm wholly with you about the 'quiet
life', an operating system should be like a graceful host, after
the introductions they get out of the way so the show can go on.
Debian does that for me.
