I see in one of the mime menu's that kpdf isn't called kpdf-trinity, but kpdf-part?
kpdf-part is for opening files in konqueror directly, if you want to. kpdf-trinity is the right one - the standalone app.
Ahh, but it took locate a while to find it: gene@coyote:/etc$ locate kpdf-trinity /usr/lib/mime/packages/kpdf-trinity /usr/share/doc/kpdf-trinity /usr/share/doc/kpdf-trinity/AUTHORS /usr/share/doc/kpdf-trinity/README /usr/share/doc/kpdf-trinity/changelog.Debian.gz /usr/share/doc/kpdf-trinity/changelog.gz /usr/share/doc/kpdf-trinity/copyright /usr/share/menu/kpdf-trinity /var/cache/apt/archives/kpdf-trinity_4%3a14.0.4-0debian7.0.0+0_i386.deb /var/cache/apt/archives/kpdf-trinity_4%3a14.0.4~pre3-0debian7.0.0+2_i386.deb /var/cache/apt/archives/kpdf-trinity_4%3a14.0.4~pre5-0debian7.0.0+3_i386.deb /var/cache/apt/archives/kpdf-trinity_4%3a14.0.4~pre6-0debian7.0.0+3_i386.deb /var/cache/apt/archives/kpdf-trinity_4%3a14.0.5-0debian7.0.0+0_i386.deb /var/cache/apt/archives/kpdf-trinity_4%3a14.0.5~pre11-0debian7.0.0+0_i386.deb /var/cache/apt/archives/kpdf-trinity_4%3a14.0.5~pre5-0debian7.0.0+0_i386.deb /var/cache/apt/archives/kpdf-trinity_4%3a14.0.5~pre7-0debian7.0.0+0_i386.deb /var/cache/apt/archives/kpdf-trinity_4%3a14.0.5~pre9-0debian7.0.0+0_i386.deb /var/cache/apt/archives/kpdf-trinity_4%3a14.0.6~pre19-0debian7.0.0+4_i386.deb /var/cache/apt/archives/kpdf-trinity_4%3a14.0.6~pre26-0debian7.0.0+4_i386.deb /var/cache/apt/archives/kpdf-trinity_4%3a14.0.6~pre5-0debian7.0.0+0_i386.deb /var/cache/apt/archives/kpdf-trinity_4%3a14.0.6~pre7-0debian7.0.0+0_i386.deb /var/cache/apt/archives/kpdf-trinity_4%3a14.0.6~pre8-0debian7.0.0+0_i386.deb /var/cache/apt/archives/kpdf-trinity_4%3a14.0.6~pre9-0debian7.0.0+0_i386.deb /var/lib/dpkg/info/kpdf-trinity.list /var/lib/dpkg/info/kpdf-trinity.md5sums /var/lib/dpkg/info/kpdf-trinity.postinst /var/lib/dpkg/info/kpdf-trinity.postrm
Does that look like a good install? I don't see anything in a *bin at all.

And I might add, nearly 2 hours updateing as I just did it yesterday including the reboot, but today as mirror.xcer.cz is running at about 20 kb/sec and theres 151 files to update, just the download will be over an hour. This is Friday, and I just did this yesterday morning.
You cannot convince me that 2 or 3 programmers have patched 151 files in 1 day. I should only have to update that which has been modified, but it looks as if I'm being fed nearly the whole thing even if its just a rebuild with no changes. So what causes this?
First of all there are more than 2-3 and secondly why do you think it was only in one day?
Since I'm near the right coast of the US, in WV, is there a closer mirror?
And why is kpdf un-authenticated? Am I missing a key? Thats 4 questions.
Now its (xcer.cz) down to 18kb/sec, 45 minutes to go. Sigh. Later obviously, much later.
Perhaps it is time to go for a walk and wait until the mirrors are synced or whatever is on the way is settled down. I learned this when I was 35 - it does not make sense to go against fate.
