Hi Tim,
I reinstalled TDE R14 nightly build on top of a fresh Ubuntu 14.10
install, and TDM seems to work properly as of now. I'll give you news
if/when I encounter new bugs.
Glad to hear it!
What you are probably seeing is that tdm doesn't have native systemd
support (yet). It will need to be added but the developer working on
systemd-related stuff (David Rankin IIRC) hasn't posted in quite some time
so one of the other developers will probably need to pick it up.
Tim
Good! And now, I can (finally) start Synaptic from its icon. I don't know why, but it
never made its way on my system through the updates on my previous install.
One little detail that should be ruled out of tdm, at least on Ubuntu, is that on a fresh
install, with the system set to use tdm right after the fresh install of TDE, is that
after the login, you are stuck in front of nothing, as if no desktop environment is
choosen at all.
Lisi, I was talking about TDE on Ubuntu x86 on my test machine, because the main machine
is on PCLinuxOS of course :)
Great!
