I am going to have to give up on KMAIL.
Its back to doing that weird thing that I talked about a couple weeks ago, where as soon as I am done writing my email, I hit the envelope with the green > on it, and instead of just sending it, it puts it in the LOCAL FOLDERS OUTBOX, I then have to switch to OUTBOX and then hit the button I added to my toolbar that says " SEND QUEUED MAIL VIA....." and select Fastmail.
That issue stopped for awhile and as soon as I hit the send button with the green > on it, the email skipped the OUTBOX and sent itself, and then put a copy into the sent folder.

Are you sure you're using TDE's kmail? I understand that you may have customized the interface, but I don't have any "green >" on any button here. (I use the menu "message" and "send mail").

You set the option for sending mail to "immediatly send" (or whatever that's called in the interface) ?

Attached is what I was talking about in the orginal email.
See the green > right under the message menu?
I just tap that once, thinking my message would just be sent, but instead it just gets moved to the OUTBOX.

In my kmail the green > is for forwarding while the green Λ is for sending.
When happens then is determined by the Configure KMail / Accounts / Sending / Default Send Method, which I have set to Send Now.
If my KMail is unable to connect to the server the mail is placed in Local / Outbox instead. The reason why KMail cannot connect to a server might be determined by running a packet tracer such as tcpdump.

tcpdump, tshark, and wireshark are all packet sniffers included with Debian. I hear that q4os is based on Debian so I would guess that you could install one or more of them with apt.
