Hi everybody !
I am pleased to inform you that KUbuntu 9.10 images are available at http://kde3.tokra.lv
Timothy, thanks a lot for your great work !
Thanks for the mirroring service!
I would prefer that downloads are started from http://apt.pearsoncomputing.net/cdimages , purely because I keep track of how many downloads I get through that site. If I don't see as many downloads (a.k.a. users) as with Jaunty, the incentive for me to continue maintaining KDE3 goes down ;-)
Thanks again!
Tim

From what I can see of the announcement you have made a great job indeed!! Quick query though: Kopete in 8.04 now has a problem with Yahoo Messenger service. Has this been sorted in the Jaunty or Karmic release?

Hi Tim,
I guess it is possible to upgrade just changing /etc/apt/sources.list then do an aptitude dist-upgrade, without having to download the CD image. So people interested in your work are maybe many more than just the ones you count through ISO downloads. Is that right ?
Regards,
Denis

Yes, this is true. I'm just keeping an eye on how many new installs are being made.
The metric is surely inaccurate, but it at least gives me *some* idea as to the size of the userbase!

I hope you aren't ignoring torrent users.
(I just burned Kubuntu 9.10 and tried it in live CD mode, and after five minutes I'm about ready to give up and move to Gnome, but I hope you keep 3.5 available for a while yet.)
Not at all! When you download the .torrent file itself your click registers ;-)
In fact, most downloads this time around are from Torrent, specifically for i386.

Hi Tim--
Thanks again for all the great work that you've done with the KDE3 repo!
Would you please consider adding: knetstats-kde3 to the Karmic Koala repository?
I can't install the KDE4 one without a conflict and I think that this was available in a previous KDE3 release you did... maybe?
Thanks! Paul

Hi Pual,
Just wanted to let you know that this package is in the build queue. Launchpad is in sad shape at the moment (44 hours in the i386 queue alone!), so you should be able to install the package a few days from now.

Just installed KNetStats and it's working great! Thanks for building it.
