Hi,
I just installed ExeGnu on a USB stick, but KDM asks for user and password. I tried everything I could imagine, but nothing worked. Can you help, please? Thanks

Frrrom very long ago, I seem ( repeat:seem) to remember that the password for root is toor. After that, My RAM goes blank. (blanc ? )
"password for root is toor." I think you're thinking of Slax (a Slackware-based live CD). Or another Slackware-based distro.

Passwords and user for the exegnu live image is the same as the Debian Live standard. The username is "user" and the user password is "live". There is no root password set but passwordless sudo is enabled for the live session.
The reason why you see the kdm password box is to allow the user to choose xfce if wanted. It defaults to Trinity after a short timeout or on pressing "Enter"
Hope that answers the problem!

Just to clarify, that means autologin. Unless you do something manually in kdm greeter (or relogin) you should not have to enter a password at all.

No, I think it was Alexandre's PCLoS to which he was referring.

Perhaps this may help ... http://exegnulinux.net/live.html It claims, "no password is required for root access." but there is no date on the page, so may now be out of date. HTH Glen
