Hi List,
I don't know how, but my mother managed to get her Desktop populated withe the content of her home dir. (Means there are icons of EVERYTHING that's in the home dir are on the desktop). How do I get rid of that? I tried everything I could imagine inside the ~/Desktop dir, which hasn't any effect at all. So what to do now??
And the cure (remember: If looking for Trinity-problems in the internet, use kde3 as a search pattern):
K-Menue: Action, Settings, System administration, path. (Desktop should be ~/Desktop instead of the home dir itself). No idea, how she break this (perhaps by deleting the Desktop dir..?)

Sounds like the XDG entry for the desktop got changed to $HOME. Go to TDEControl-->System Administration-->Paths and verify the Desktop path entry.

Thanks again. That worked.
