I don't often use it, but when I wanted to look up the appearances of various font typefaces, hmmm... kfontsel is gone!

Probably that's what I meant. I see that I have kfaxview in my /opt/trinity/bin, but there's no kfontview there.

Yes, kfontview; but it appears to be called tdefontview now. Thanks for pointing that out. When I open tdefontview, though, it doesn't show anything (see attachment). The handbook for it points out that it can be invoked from kControl or Konqueror as well. I'm able to see it with Konqueror, but I'd like to be able to use it as a standalone app instead. As for its use with kControl, I'll open a new thread for that.
