Trinity 14.0.8 (stable), Debian stable
Kmail is set as default email client.
Sending an invitation from video conferencing , meet.jitsi, kmail composer pops up but no invitation is displayed in the email body. Normal behavior? Not what I expected. gregm

Hello,
Just tried it, sending the invitation with kmail, everything was received OK.

for my clarity, sending and recieving works okay. Are you saying your composer window has the subject and the email body contains the invitaion (in plain text) all automagically filled in?
greg
ps.attached ksnapshots, if list allows.

Yep, that's what I mean (see ksnapshot).
However I notice your snapshot shows Kontact. I checked and also have it installed, but it does not get started. I don't have kdepim installed though.
So when I create an invitation in Jitsi plain kmail is started. Maybe that's the difference?

Thank you all.
I do have kdepim installed, imho, should work anyways.
Firefox "mailto:" set to kmail.

Do you have KOrganizer installed? ...because, invitations to events are passed to KOrganizer.
Cheers

Debian jessie, TDE: R14.0.8 here, and on Devuan ascii with TDE PSB it was the same, IIRC:
I have problems, too, with browsers (Firefox, Palemoon), to save files, send emails etc., actually always when a dialog window is used to accomplish the task. It always seemed to be caused by bugs in kgtk-qt3-trinity or the underlying mechanisms. When kgtk-qt3-trinity is not installed you should not see problems related to this cause. However, I'm not sure if that applies to your setting, just guessing that you access meet.jitsi through a browser…
