I'm trying Fedora 26 (no experience qith that distro, I rather don't like Red Hat so much). I follow the instructions on the wiki but when trying yum install trinity-desktop I get "Failed to synchronize cache for repo 'trinity-r14', disabling
I checked with my browser and the repository seems to be there.
Anyone use Fedora?

Fedora switched from Yum to DNF several releases ago. I've just updated https://wiki.trinitydesktop.org/Fedora_Trinity_Repository_Installation_Instr... accordingly.

OK, but it was already so two days ago. What puzzles me is that I can access the repository, so why can't yum (still working) and/or dnf? Installing packages from SUSE works...

I just had exactly the same problem with a clean install of Fedora 26. I was attempting a test install in the hope of gaining some clues as to why Trinity crashes on one of my PC's using with Mageia 6. The installation was fully updated and rpmfusion was installed, but was in all other respects a "default" setup.
Since this was purely a test setup, I probably won't take this any further, but I can confirm that the problem exists.

Hello, this is my mistake, I forgot to create the YUM/DNF specific mirror lists for Fedora 26. I've just added the missing files, now you can wait until mirrors are synchronized.
In case you can't wait, there is an alternative way to install. You can manually edit file "/etc/yum.repos.d/trinity.repo", disable the "mirrorlist" lines, and enable the "baseurl" lines. Then the DNF command will work, using the Trinity mirroring mechanism instead of the YUM/DNF mirroring mechanism.

If users are using for repository url mirror.ppa.trinitydesktop.org, they get updated files quickly - synchronization from your RPM repository to mirror.ppa.trinitydesktop.org is done every two hours...
