Interesting. I can't seem to find anything that puts that site's age past 2010, indicating concurrent "invention" of the name. Also, I think we are distinct enough due to the project's full name, the "Trinity Desktop Environment".

Oh, I agree. But I was interested, having heard it mentioned, and went to have a look to see whether it was connected. I was interested myself, so thought that other people might be interested too.
Trinity is the kind of name that is going to have been used a lot. But a live CD is very close to home!!

I don't think there should be any confusion, but the Trinity Rescue Kit has been around since at least 2006: http://distrowatch.com/?newsid=03265
