Hello
I just installed successfully Trinity over Kubuntu 10.04 on an IBM Laptop. Now I have a problem with the networkmananger. When I want to connect to wireless net with WPA2 enterprise it cannot connect, it is a special type of connection type called eudoroam and networkmananger always had problems, while nm-applet had not. (WPE is not a problem)
In jaunty I could use nm-applet, but when I try to execute is here in Lucid I obtain An instance of nm-applet is already running. But there is not.
Thanks
Uwe Brauer
I'm still running karmic on my thinkpad, but I have always had great luck with 'wicd' for wifi connections. The default network manager is pretty worthless with wifi, in my opinion, as I could never get it to automatically connect to my stored encrypted connections when I was roaming.

Same for me. I'm using wicd, too.

that is really odd. wicd works very nice I agree but for me only in KDE4. when I call it in trinty a different icon is loaded to the planel and worse when I try to scan, the scanning button is not activated.
I tried it as root as normal user it does not work!
I use knetwormanager for WPA Enterprise PEAP and it works fine. I used the updated Trinity version on a stock KDE 3.5.10. Have you tried that? When WPA works, WPA-2 usually does so too, the problem is normally when there are issues with PEAP, LEAP, etc.
Best regards
