As per David Hare's request, I'm starting a thread dedicated to Exe GNU/Linux (Trinity Desktop Environment pre-installed on a Debian Squeeze live CD) from Exeter, England. I'm about to try it for the 1st time.
Cheers,
Elcaset
There is a new Exe GNU/Linux (Squeeze +TDE) Live CD
All current squeeze updates and Slávek's TDE (deb repo) updates are included. It is not a "remaster" and is built from a basic debootstrap.
It's tagged "preview1" because there is still some work to do and is untested beyond that it boots and runs here.
Any comments and feedback appreciated.
Even if there is none this project will continue at least through to Wheezy because of one dedicated Debian and TDE user.
This is *not* official TDE

While I haven't personally had to install from a Debian LiveCD in many years, I very much appreciate the service you are providing here.
Keep up the good work!

Exe GNU/Linux ("unofficial" Squeeze +TDE Live CD) has another update
http://exe-linux.fastfishwebsolutions.com/trinity/preview/exegnulinux_3.3_pr...
Some changes from recent previews, mostly in the installer. Still tagged "preview" till tested more
Earlier previews, in some cases the new user was not set up properly, that should now be fixed.
Patched grub-legacy as used by AntiX is now included, full ext4 support and more. Autodetection of other OS improved with revamped installer code.
Spanish translations in custom scripts improved (thanks Alexis)
Synaptic should now run properly from the menu
Gnash plugin added, works for youtube at least. No non-GPL software is included.
Latest Squeeze and Slavek's TDE updates as of 20 June 2012
It is working particularly well also as persistent live USB. Testers/feedback welcome, can't fix bugs I don't know about!
