In KMAIL 1.9 for TDE, why can't I insert an
image inside of my email?
This is only possible in HTML mode, but I am afraid KMail 1.9 is not so
mature, besides that the html engine is outdated.
There is NO option to insert the image inside of
the email. Some people
might not like clicking on attachments and would rather you paste them
directly into the body of the email, but with KMAIL 1.9, I noticed that
we can't do that, the only option we have is to attach them???
You can drag&drop an image from Konqueror to KMail New Email and it would
ask you if you would like to attach or paste the path. I use attach and as
"Thierry de Coulon via tde-users" said, it is rather a missing feature and
I also do not use HTML mode.
HTML looks nice, but it bloats the mail and it was not designed for HTML,
but HTML is also OK. On some occasions I use Thunderbird or Roundcube, as I
have the mail boxes on a server.
In my opinion it would not be too difficult to implement, but I doubt
someone has the time to do it. If you wish, you could create a feature
request.
HTML email also allows people to embed malware, etc. into emails, which is
why Kmail does its best to discourage the HTML "feature."
