still haven't fixed artsd -- what package is it in, that i might try to reinstall or something? -- but i am writing this on trinity's kmail, through the protonmail bridge, which encrypts it and sends it down the pipe to their server, which sends it out in whatever form the list receives it.
which i suspect is a first. a minor first to be sure, but a first.

Except the signature by proton mail, it does not contain any sign of activity. I would expect a signature or something.
regarding artsd - it is part of libarts1c2a-trinity there are few bugs logged for arts, but I suggest you look at configuration. or you can look at .xsession-errors - perhaps you'll find something useful to post here.

that's actually a signature by me. i put it there intentionally because i think secure mail is a good thing and that people ought to know that it exists.

perhaps I misunderstand what protonmail is, but if I sign the message with GPG or PGP/MIME, I would have the signed message and can verify by the signature that it was not altered. I look at your signature - it is advertisement - no use of this unless I get a signature.

then feel free to make no use of it, i suppose.

of course, but the statement is false: "Sent with ProtonMail Secure Email. Because privacy matters." as there is no sign of protonmail making this message more secure in any way.
if you promise, please, delivery ;)

the purpose of the exercise is to prevent this, sent some weeks ago by the local isp:

in that the mail is encrypted when it leaves my machine and remails encrypted through the protonmail servers, it has performed the service which i have engaged it to do.

so a message such as "Sent via ProtonMail Secure Email Server. Because privacy matters." makes more sense to me
