Hi List, where can I define that all folders shall look the same (e. g. detailed list view)?

Just setup Konqueror the way you like it, then click on "Settings" and save to "File Management", that should do it.
Hi Jimmy,

o. k., but for every new sub-window I have to load the "File Management" again. I'm looking for something that does it automatically.

The Command is: "konqueror --profile filemanagement", you can add that to the Kmenu using what ever name, description and icon that you want to use.
For konqueror as superuser, additionally check the box to run as a different user.
Or
Here's a recipe you can use:
OK, you can get red and blue icons for the menu from here: www.flickr.com/photos/23959276@N07/sets/72157622753407463/ I use the classic menu, if you don't know you can right click on the start button and change to the classic menu.
Right click on the start button and choose edit menu and click on the System Folder, that's where we are going to add the new file managers, first click New Item and Name it: "Konqueror - File Management SuperUser" and click OK, for the Description use the same as the Name, next is the Command: "konqueror --profile filemanagement", next click Advanced and check the box Run as different user.
Now go back to the General tab and click to add the icon, browse to the icon and select it.
Leave "Enable launch feedback" checked.
For the user just name it "Konqueror - File Management", the setup is the same but you don't use the advanced tab, leave out the above quotes and when you're done just click Save.
Good Luck,

sorry, it works only once. If I open a sub-window with Ctrl+T, I again get the Icon view.

What only works once?
Hi Jimmy,
What only works once?
if I start with "konqueror --profile myprofile" I get a konqueror window showing $HOME with the view I want to have. If I open a sub-window with Ctrl+T and click on Home (the button with the house) I get the Icon view.

Just setup Konqueror the way you like it, then click on "Settings" and save to "File Management", that should do it. If you set it up for both instances that should take care or it. I've never used ctrl+t, I'm a mouse user. :-)
Between, I set it up in the menu and then put an icon on the Quicklauncher in the panel.

Ok, first of all we are talking about Debian and not Ubuntu.
Trinity is using a 15min time out, the sudoers file used is the same as what is in normal Debian system, I know I can change the sudoers file and add ",timestamp_timeout=0" to set it to ask for a passwd each time you need to be superuser, but like I said the sudoers file is the same as Squeeze without Trinity.
So the question is what else can be causing this 15min timeout?
What ever it is I want it to die, I want it to behave like a normal Debian system and not like a Ubuntu system.
Thanks,

Thanks,
I notice in the console, kde4 squeeze when I run "sudo synaptic and enter the passwd" that I get the error: (synaptic:28768): Gtk-WARNING **: cannot open display: :0.0
In, trinity squeeze when I run "sudo synaptic and enter the passwd" synaptic opens.
In kde4, gksu in the console opens synaptic needing the passwd.
In trinity, gksu in the console opens synaptic without the passwd.
These are all clues, but, I'm too ignorant to know what is causing the difference, probably something to do with sudo not timing out.
All I know is that someway-somehow I would like to get the Debian behavior.
I'm sure it's something simple in the Trinity way and the Debian way that is causing all these permission differences, after all this is a Debian system, not a Ubuntu system.
At the same time I would like to say that my trinity ubuntu 10.04 system is great, I mostly use it while the squeeze system has these bugs.
The trinity 10.10 system has been doing some really weird things, like logging out and back in to find all kinds of desktop settings have changed, but I really would rather not get into that as the squeeze install is more important to me.
