Hi,
I tried to install TDE on a Raspberry Pi, which goes with an error in htdig - so I disabled its installation. But when I start tdm which ends without an error and no gui is shown. Starting with startx there is a gui, but I get no tde environment.
Does someone else had this problem and solved it? Any help will be great.
Thanks Rolf

I don't know about the htdig error... but htdig is a dependency of khelpcenter-trinity which is a dependency of a heck of a lot of other -trinity pkgs.
My initial thought was that the GUI issues could be related to installing the Trinity DE on the GUI Raspbian (which recently changed to their own PIXEL DE), but it appears that htdig is more important than I would have thought... Is the GUI (PIXEL?) you get functional?
Have you tried Raspbian Lite and TDE?, e.g. https://davelers.com/Linux/Distros/Debian/#5272
Hi Dave
Have you tried Raspbian Lite and TDE?, e.g. https://davelers.com/Linux/Distros/Debian/#5272
That is what I did.
When I start the gui with startx I get a window with the message: "Could not starttdestartupconfig. Check your installation". When I close this window an other on came up with the message: "Call to lnusertemp failed (temporary directory full?). Check your installation"
I have 344M free on the partition where /tmp is on.
Does someone give me a hint, what package is missing or what is the reason for this messages.
Many thanks for any suggestions Rolf

Is this the install you had the htdig error on? I have not done any recent installs of TDE on Raspbian Lite, but I didn't get an htdig error during install and first boot went directly to the TDE Display Manager.

Yes, I suppose that the sd-card was to small (2 GB only). Now I use a bigger sd-card and the q4os image which has trinity installed and it runs pretty good.
Many thanks for your help Rolf

Having read your message I tried q4os. While TDE runs, I can't install kmail (I get a bunch of unsolved dependancies).
Did you get kmail installed?

I didn't try it, because that is not my use case. I need a gui for a few programs for an electrical workbench.

It was a repository problem. I posted a message on the q4os forum and it was repaired very quickly.
