Some of kde did install but the new kmail 5something doesn't see 7 gigs of old mail, nor will it create ANYTHING not even a new folder.
So this is from ff doing webmail, which I would rather use for target practice.
Does anyone have a fix for either problem?
Thanks all.

Hi Gene,
Over on the Debian list you mentioned Trinity and here you are on the Trinity list but you're talking about KMail 5 which is not Trinity.
So what EXACTLY did you do and what EXACTLY happened?
Also did you take their advice and stop using -E with sudo because that can mess you up real bad - putting root-owned files in your personal home and thereby causing constipation in your personal account?

Hi Gene,
Are you talking about tde or kde? Im assuming tde by the title and the context of your message but then you say "kmail 5something". Are you using Plasma Kmail on TDE? Clearing this up will help us diagnose the problem.
Either way, 7 GB of mail is a lot. Im guessing this is POP which I know nothing about, for I use IMAP.

Did you check to see if KMail5 has an option to /import/ mail from a different app? I'm sure it must have ceased to automatically import from KMail3 many years ago, and has never had same for TDE's KMail.
