Hello everybody!
Strange problem here with Konqueror. In the right pane, I used to be able to skip to the wanted file by typing a letter. A few weeks ago, it stopped working. It only worked in the left pane, where the folders are. Then, a few days ago it was fixed by an update. But yesterday's update took it away again.
Am I doing something wrong?

Sorry for bumping, anyone else having this problem? I noticed it is working, but only when the files are sorted by name. When sorted by "modified" it does not work to type a letter to find a file. Was this the behaviour always?

Not sure that I am the one to try to solve your problem, as the Trinity lists overflow with supergeeks who are better equipped to answer; however, I can at least start the ball rolling for you.
It occurs to me, having looked round the settings, that you might have changed something like a profile; either you could have switched from "file management" to "web browsing", or you changed their configuration?
Also, are you using the newer KDE4, or the konqueror-trinity package?

Problem confirmed. I have open a bug report (http://bugs.pearsoncomputing.net/show_bug.cgi?id=2893) and added it to R14.0.6 bug list.

I use stretch with 14.1 and I do not see this bug. I tested like this - open konqueror - it goes to my home directory. Clicked the field "modified" and entered the beginning of the file name I want to filter in the upper right filter/search field - and it works for me.
