Thanks very much -- I'll do this if I can't get the native software to=20 work. What puzzles me about it is that the Epson-provided Linux IScan=20 application has always worked reliably here, and only now when I invoke it= =20 does it explode. --=20 dep

Check to see if you're using 32bit on a 64 or vice versa. Also, try doing a complete uninstall of all related drivers etc. Clear you're using dir of any configs etc. Then reinstall.
