I have a terminal-based application that I'm trying to debug. I have created a menu entry for it with Run in Terminal checked. There is also an option to keep the terminal from closing when the application ends, but I can't find it either by using the Menu Editor or by right-clicking the entry in the menu tree and selecting Edit Item. I know I've seen it somewhere (I've used it in the past), but now I can't find it anywhere.
Alternatively, is there a value I can set in .local/share/applications/<item>.desktop?

For my terminal-based desktop objects: I would right click on the icon,
Properties >> Application >> Advanced Options >> Tick "[ ] Run in terminal" then you are given the option to "[ ] Do not close when command exists".
I know not what TDE configuration file or value this affects/sets.
FWIW, I have quite a few terminal-based applications, and I have never bothered to tick "[ ] Run in terminal". I don't know what I might be missing. :-)
