LOL ... that's a blast from the past! Anybody want to port it to TDE?

When I was a much younger man (back in the Bible days), I used AIM and ICQ,
then I found various multiprotocol applications (but forget the names), then
at last discovered xmpp/jabber, especially with OTR and other security
features. I don't think I've used anything else in nearly twenty years. And
nowadays, I don't even know anybody who is using xmpp/jabber; or at least,
nobody who wants to use it to chat with me.
However, if anybody really wants to use AIM and ICQ, I wonder why not just try
one of those multiprotocol apps?
Nowadays I use psi-plus, which handles my xmpp/jabber needs; although I don't
currently chat with anybody, I find it comforting to know that my jabber IDs
are still alive, so that I can use it if I want.
More to the point of this thread, though, is that psi-plus (and, I imagine,
other similar apps) has some kind of transports that will allow use of the
AIM and ICQ (and other?) networks. So for me, at least -- at least, in
theory -- there is no need to look further.
I don't suppose anybody out there has heard of psi-plus? Or, if there are
other such programs, I might be curious. I have already been through Pidgin,
have used kopete and kopete-trinity, etc., but it's been awhile since I
explored chat programs.
