http://www.trinitydesktop.org/ is the main distribution-agnostic Trinity Desktop site and is active.
http://apt.pearsoncomputing.net/ is the Ubuntu specific version of Trinity, including Ubuntu LiveCDs, and is active.
Tim
Thanks for the information.
I am a web developer and like to create a new website for both sites. I will use Wordpress as CMS to control our sites. Is there any webdesign group maintaining the site? I will be not so active as I have some projects but I will make it soon.

Hi,
We just rewrote the website 6 months ago. I think we had some reasons to not use a cms. I created the current website and I am satisfied with it. But again, if you want to, go ahead.
Calvin.
We actually have a Web team already. Also, one of the design goals for the site was to avoid any heavyweight CMS systems. Granted, the Ubuntu site needs some help, but I would like to see it integrated into the existing Trinity site look/feel.

As we are on the topic of the web site: the wiki on http://www.trinitydesktop.org/wiki - is this meant to be actually used?

The wiki is useful for more dynamic and community content. For example, the roadmap is always changing, with multiple authors , therefore it is best on the wiki.

Thanks for all your comments.. I will create a new layout in GIMP and show you all :) Let's see what your comments on the layout than we will decide next plan.

Some folks are apparently not easily detered. Unless the Trinity team asks you or anyone else to create a new design, aren't you just wasting your time?

Sadly, I fear that he may just go ahead anyway and too bad what we all think. I hope that the sites are in some way locked? There are various nasties out there waiting to jump them!
Lisi
There so many negative opinions here. Let me clear your doubts.
I am an Ubuntu user and I also don't like KDE4 and want to use KDE3. But I cannot install KDE3 by following all your steps. I have created forum topic but still I cannot use it. The problem is when I add repository and install kde3 apps than I get dependency errors. So currently I am using Gnome 2.30 on my Ubuntu 11.04 system.
I also want to use KDE3 and I want to improve it. I want to help this group so you guys can focus on other things and don't waste your time to develop website. So I think I will help you to develop website and you guys focus on bugs and other things.
If you don't want to develop new site than please vote here so I will not develop a site.

Personally, I have looked at all three and I strongly dislike all three. They are exclusive not inclusive (i.e. not accessoble to the handicapped), do not follow web standards (don't work with Konqueror, my usual and preferred browser - ironic for sites that are proposed as suitable for Konqueror's main home) and are far too glitzy.
Others may, in fact probably will, disagree. But your work is certainly not good enough for you to announce that you are highhandedly going to redesign 2 perfectly good, useful and usable sites and render them unusable. KDE 4 is about glitz and glitter. Your sites might suit it. But KDE 3 is about functionality, configurability and usability. As are the present sites. Which are also pleasant to look at. Your sites hurt my eyes.
Why do we have to have our sites mucked up because you want to use TDE?? Please don't let us render Trinity into a toy for the young and flashy.
Sorry to be so assertive: but you don't take hints.

Don't worry, the current sites are here to stay, for many of the reasons you outlined above! :-)
Bimal, if you truly want to help the project, you could roll up your sleeves and start working on fixing some of the bug reports at http://bugs.pearsoncomputing.net. I am sure there are also translations into your native tongue that need fixing. Otherwise, it is just an instance of majoring on the minors, and of taking something perfectly good and breaking it just for the sake of doing something.

although I agree with the substance of your comments, they strike me as unduly harsh. giving the OP the benefit of the doubt, he was trying to be helpful and may not have understood how he was coming across - translation across different cultural contexts often does this. in fact, I think he may simply not have understood that he was being told no the first time.
actually I would have been interested in his ideas for the site but it's really not my business.
the OP probably by now has grasped that his services are not wanted as the relevant parties are content with things as they are.

Sorry for all the harassment. I am not going to force you to use my design and for this I am not going to create any layout. I am sorry for forcing you to see my design too. I will not harass you again. My work is really very very bad and not usable.
Thanks for all your valuable thoughts.
