Hi
I started to switch from a Thinkpad X200s with 1280x800 resolution to a X1 with 1920x1080. The resulting icons are very small for my taste. How can I increase them without lowering the resolution? Thanks

I have kcontrol--> appearance --> icons (and then the advance option where I can change the size of the icons. However some of them in the right corner of the main panel are changed but the ones in the left corner are unchanged the same holds for the icons in the TDE menu. It seems thy cannot be changed.

Yes of course, I should add that I use the Crystal SVG them, which I have relied on for ages
I attach a screenshot of my X200s and of my X1.

Theses 5 small icons on the left? These are not systray icons, 'cause that systray icons have grown (icons right). What are they?

I don't know I tried to play around with the options at hand, but that icons did not change.

If you change the size of the panel some stuff autoscale to fill the space. This is what you want?
