Hello,
Since I upgraded Trinity, all the TDE menus are in french, excepted the TDE menu to turn off my computer, end current session, reboot, hibernate..., who is in english.
I installed again the package "tde-i18n-fr-trinity", but no change.
Is it a bug... ?
Thanks,
André

Hi André,
I suppose this is a consequence of the extensive update of the translation templates and the related update of the translation files that took place in recent weeks.
Although most translations are the same between the stable R14.0.x branch and the master R14.1.0 branch, there may be some differences. The logout / shutdown dialog is definitely one of these differences.
We will try to find some handy solution to combine this translations from a master branch with a stable branch.
Cheers

Yes, I guess that is the reason since the names used for the power actions have changed. Once the code becomes stable (some changes still on going) and when our translation framework is completed, users will be able to independently update the translations for the next release, so you should consider this as a temporary issue. Cheers Michele

So, it is just a question of patience...
Never mind if some menus are in english and others in french, it was only to understand why, and I have now the answer.
Thanks, cheers,
André

Hi André,
your question was motivation for us to create another way of updating translations from the master branch to a stable branch. Instead of cherry-picking individual git commits, we will now perform merge of translations using translation templates from a stable branch. This provides two benefits:
1. Strings that are changed or removed in the master branch will be retained in a stable branch.
2. The procedure is automated.
That's why I want to thank you. Thanks to you, we have a better solution now. After update you should see translations of the log out dialog back!
Cheers
