Hello all,
I've run in a problem with k3b. I wanted to try Qt4--Fsarchiver that comes (in one form) as an Ubuntu live CD. The problem is that the image is 880 MB but k3b "sees" it as a CD. It cant't burn it on a 700 MB CD and it does not accept a raw DVD so you're stuck.
The workaround for me was to use Brasero that remained from the basic Gnome install, but I wonder what, if anything, we can do to change that behaviour.
Qt4-archiver does it's job by the way, and the live CD gives you a GUI environment (Unity of course...). I think I still prefer Image for Linux and the command line however.

Does this happen even if you specify the image type by using Tools > Burn DVD ISO image ? Or does that option not appear for you for some reason?

Ah yes, I didn't think of that. Yes it works that way, so it's simply the automatic way that fails.
I can live with that. Thanks!

You can burn any ISO to a DVD too in K3B regardless of it's size :) (up to DVD limits) Alie
