Hello
This seems a odd problem, I can bind in Emacs/Xemac control+shift, or shift but not left+shift. Emacs does not recognize the key so I thought maybe trinity has bound that key.
That happens for example with the Control+F1-Control+F12 keys.
But I was not able to find any binding.
Somebody has an idea?
thanks

Hi Uwe!
does "xev" receive left+shift on your system (which it does on my testsystem)?

It does on my system!
However I start to think that the problem lies in the fact that shift+arrows is bound to setting the mark. (In MS Windows it is the same binding)
Shift+arrows as opposed to Crt+space as in Emacs.
So I don't know how to change this basic configuration.

Hi Uwe, not on TDE right now. Have you checked whether those keys are register as "global shortcuts"? Some combinations (for example Ctrl+F1) are working at TDE global level (for example on my system Ctrl+F1 moves to Desktop 1). The settings are in the Regional section, under Keyboard somewhere (can't check the exact names right now, but open TDE Control Center and look around a little and you will find them). You will need to change those settings if that is the case.
Cheers Michele
