I see this error popup on various installations. The instant one is a 32bit Bookworm freshly upgraded from Bullseye with 14.0.12. Bullseye does it too. The trigger is left clicking on the menu starter. On those where it ever occurs, it only happens once. Trying again after dismissing the popup always works. Anyone familiar with it, what to do to eliminate it?

I forgot to mention, on systems where this occurs, there is never a response to a right click on the desktop.

Hi Felix, I am Bookwork but I have not seen this, not that I remember at least. What does the error dialog say?
Cheers Michele

Error - Kicker
Malformed URL
system:/
It first started showing up long before Bookworm, maybe before Bullseye. I was just ignoring it, until it remained in the official 14.0.12 release.

Hi Felix, does this happen on a new installation with a new user account? or after transferring an existing user? I wonder if it could be related to some custom entries in the menu. Cheers Michele

Never that I can remember on new. Is this a kind of thing that could be xdg-related? I deny the creation of useless subdirectories in $HOME, such as:
~/Music ~/Pictures ~/Videos
But, if that was the reason, I would expect all accounts would be affected.

Uhm, I doubt that. I also don't have all those folders and don't remember seeing this dialog. Cheers Michele

Pentium 4 32bit host gx270 here with Bullseye, Bookworm and Trixie all exhibit this.
