Hi all I have been using Dropbox along with its official Linux client for many years to synchronize my folders reliably.
Recently, however, I started receiving a message (attached) indicating that my desktop environment does not support the Dropbox tray icon. Given this, I would like to ask whether there are any plans for Trinity to support the Dropbox tray icon in the future.
Thank you in advance for your time and consideration.

Can you share what are the details about this. I see some non TDE applications support the tray integration (Telegram) and others do not (Signal). Alternatively share a link where one can read more about this.
Thank you in advance

While message is not very usefull, what i believe is happening is dropbox switching from libayatana-appindicator to libayatana-appindicator-glib. Notice that later is missing a following part from the description "and will fallback to generic Systray support if none of those are available"
Well, "just use maestral" is always a valid the answer to DrobBox bs....

Sorry for the delay, I was busy and it took me some time to find out the following.
This seems to be the relevant link
https://help.dropbox.com/installs/dropbox-desktop-app-for-linux
I will try out now sudo apt install libappindicator3-1
Strangely enough it then removes libayatana-appindicator3-1
I will try out and see what happens
Thank you in advance

I did try it out, rebooted, but it did not help, I obtained the same message.
