Well, you are yelling without providing enough information to explain what you are yelling about (though it can be gleaned from the information you did provided)

Let's start with how something gets in your TDE (or KDE or Gnome) menu to begin with. The xdg_menu specification provides a set of paths that are searched for .desktop files that provide the information about how to launch an application and a hint for where that item should go in the menu (as well as many many lines of language translations)

Depending on how you installed firefox and thunderbird, there is no guarantee there were any .desktop files provided. For example if you installed the .bz2 from mozilla.org, there all files related to both firefox and thunderbird reside under the directory you unzipped them to. There is nothing to tell TDE "Hey, there are new apps for your menu here..."

If on the other hand, you installed packages provided by your distribution, they should have included proper .desktop files within the proper search path structure so TDE can say "Hey, look, I have new apps to add to my menu..."

So you are yelling about something completely out of TDE's control. If you installed from mozilla.org, then open kmenuedit (or tmenuedit) and create an entry from FF and TB. If you installed a package from your distro, the search the package content for .desktop files and drop a note on your distro mailing list if they are not there.
