Yesterday I downloaded from ppa.quickbuild.pearsoncomputing.net the upgrade to TDE 14.0.2 for wheezy. The downloading was ultimately successful, but it required approximately twelve hours to complete.
On the other hand all my other downloads, including those from the debian wheezy depositaries, are super fast. I am in Thailand but have a fibre optic connection to the ISP close by and from there by satellite directly to the rest of the world. It would consequently seem that any slowdown is not at my end.
Is such a low speed for downloads from quickbuild normal?
Regards, Ken

This is precisely one of the things why it was set up some time ago mirror.ppa.trinitydesktop.org.
The line to the primary server have limited bandwidth and each additional user downloading directly from quickbuild causes slowdown in synchronization to the mirrors. Unfortunate that many users still have registered in the apt sources ppa.quickbuild.pearsoncomputing.net.
New mirror.ppa.trinitydesktop.org would have prevented the situation, because apt lists on the mirrors has not yet been updated to R14.0.2 == for its users is not yet R14.0.2 for download...

I had not considered the case where users were not using the mirror.ppa.trinitydesktop.org URL. The master redirector at ppa.quickbuild.pearsoncomputing.net has been updated to send users to mirror.ppa.trinitydesktop.org instead of attempting local upload.
Also, the TDE project servers reside (co-located with an engineering firm) in the United States, which unfortunately is not known for easy access to fast Internet compared with the rest of the world, and is especially behind compared to Asia. The engineering firm donating these resources to TDE is looking to move to a location with much faster Internet access in the next 6 months or so; at that time the remaining TDE access issues should be sorted out.
Thank you for your patience while this issue was worked around, and happy Thanksgiving alL!
