I've just noticed a folder that I have restored from a backup only shows a size of 1Mb when I hover the mouse over it. Refreshing the desktop doesn't alter the reported size. However if I look at "Properties" it shows me the correct size of 1.3Gb.

That information you get when hoovering just shows the size of all files in the folder, but it does not recurse into subdirectories.
