Digikam 0.9.6 seems to be missing a lot of functions; for example, in Edit
mode, Color, Enhance, have no options visible. Transform has a minimal set.
I presume that there are some plugins missing.
didkam, kipi plugins and showfoto are all installed.
uname -a
Linux vega 2.6.32-5-686 #1 SMP Mon Jun 13 04:13:06 UTC 2011 i686 GNU/Linux
debian - squeeze.
Any pointers to where I should look?

Did you check the wicd log (and/or click "ON" diagnostics somewhere down
inside wicd)? I forget where the log is located, but `locate wicd.log`
should find it.
Any comments on this?

New subject: [trinity-users] network is down when hibernating, WICD does not work.
I remember there was an issue on Debian+KDE3.5.10+knetworkmanage with intel
wlan cards. wicd worked fine but knetworkmanager could not connect. The issue
was never resolved as debian went to kde4 (which had a simillar problem
anyway).

Strange enough on kubuntu 8.04 Everything was fine.
So I have to figure out why wcid does not work for me.

Atheros AR9285 here. Perhaps you should try one of those? They are not very
expensive and I've personally had the problems you described with some Intel
3945 cards.
