Hello,
With PCManFM I can download photos from an LG phone using MTP connection type. In Krusader 1.90.0 under Trinity 14.0.4 using either MTP or PTP, the phone doesn't even appear in the available media list. I just upgraded everything and added kamera-trinity. Any idea what might be missing?
Thanks in advance - Robert

I don't, and never looked into MTP support. I download photos with my phone set to PTP - it shows up as unknown device in storage media. I didn't do/install anything.

Using PTP, my phone shows up the same. But the only photo folders accessible are on the internal card, not the external, where my photos are. And the phone's file manager provides no way to create symlinks :-(

If your 'photos are in an external card why not just use a card reader?

Because I don't have one; I'll stick with using PCManFM.

don't know if it's fit to purpose but have you tried jmtpfs? it's command-line and unfortunately requires java. works pretty well most times for me.
also I often use something called sshdroid which one gets from 'google play' - uses wifi; you mount the phone's card and access content.
may not be options in your circumstances but maybe worth mentioning in case.

Thanks. I don't download enough photos anyway to use command line, but I will take a look at sshdroid. -R

once you install it the syntax is:
jmptfs mnt
assuming you have made a directory called 'mnt'.
you umount with
fusermount -u mnt

but I will take a look at sshdroid. -R

Hi, I'm trying things with jmptfs, getting various errors. Will delve into it more when having the time. -R

I'm no expert but let us know what the errors are in case I've coped with them or someone else has.
I have found that jmptfs can be fussy, working sometimes works with one phone but not with another. (I think I've tried it on about four phones.)
sshdroid is easy.
