I gave opendns ago but still no network. setup wicd still no network. so i
reinstalled exe and now it all works. very strange. thank god for back ups.

Actually, as Exe is non-TDE-official it's not intended to use this mailing
for Exe-specific support.
It's not clear what sort of connection you have, if you connect via the
android or a normal router.. I can test only with ethernet and wireless
with a normal router and that works fine here. Note Exe has WICD as well as
Ceni.
Some time back I had a 3 UK dongle. It would connect but their DNS servers
wouldn't work. Configuring opendns solved it.. it might for you
