I thought you were using the Slávek one?
deb http://mirror.xcer.cz/trinity-sb wheezy deps-r14 main-r14
If you have both, just comment out the pearsoncomputing one.
Otherwise, comment out the pearsoncomputing one, add the Slávek one, update, and full-upgrade or whatever is appropriate to your package manager.

Sorry should have mentioned it but we are talking about two different machines, this happens on my desktop which is still on wheezy and trinity v3.5.13.
The PowerPC machine is a fifferent story.

Yes, I understood that. My answer stands.

Sorry, I could have elaborated more. You are trying to upgrade from TDE 3.5.13 to TDE 14. For that I would use (shall use) the Slávek repopsitory
deb http://mirror.xcer.cz/trinity-sb wheezy deps-r14 main-r14
As I said, I would: comment out the pearsoncomputing one, add the Slávek one, update, and full-upgrade or whatever is appropriate to your package manager.

So far so good, Lisi I have done a dist-upgrade from the standard repository and it seems to be OK, the desktop is up en running again and so far no problems
Much difference between Slaveks repo and the mirrored one?

Slávek's has updates (patches) added as they come out, whereas the standard repository and mirrors will add them all when 14.0.1 is released.
I first started using Slávek's repository when a bug was bugging me and I wanted it fixed as soon as possible, and have stayed with him since.
I'm glad that the upgrade has gone well for you. Lisi

Yes, I'm noticing a problems since yesterday evening. You now have two options:
1) Change apt source to any particular official mirror - for example http://tde-mirror.yosemite.net/trinity/
2) Instead of official R14.0.0 use an alternative apt source 'preliminary-stable-builds', where are preliminary packages for the upcoming R14.0.1.

Is this still occurring? If so, are you able to reach the main QuickBuild site at https://quickbuild.pearsoncomputing.net?
Thanks!

quickbuild.pearsoncomputing.net is not reachable from here, too. traceroute hangs on some node at *.att.net (12.91.232.14)

Should be back up and running; there was a temporary routing issue.
Please let me know if you are still experiencing problems.

http and https now working.
rsync has changed from timeout to connection refused.
--Mike
The remaining routing problems should have been straightened out at this point. Please let me know if anything else is non-functional.
Thanks!

Some comments:
I had a serious problem with updating to the latest R14.0.1 version (worth a differrent mail) from deb http://mirror.xcer.cz/trinity-sb raring deps-r14 main-r14
After update Kontact crashed badly, Kmail opened once, was unable to send (no response after trying to send) and crashed after killing it with "kill ..." constantly. Thus access to my old mails - very bad.
I tried to downgrade by using
dpkg --get-selections|grep -i trinity
to save state of the system, than deleting all packages with trinity in name. Than replacing mirror.xcer.cz by
http://ppa.quickbuild.pearsoncomputing.net/trinity/trinity-r14.0.0/ubuntu
to use
"apt-get update" "dpkg --set-selections < filename" "apt-get -u dselect-upgrade"
to downgrade to latest stable version but no access to quickbuild was possible. So I searched for mirrors on trinitydesktop.org and in the Wiki but was not able to find this information. There is neither a search box nor a link to different mirrors in case quickbuild is down.
Am I to blind to find this information or must it be added anywhere?
Gerhard

This is for me very interesting. I use KMail from TDE R14.0.1 (preliminary) every day and have not noticed problems. I use KMail alone - without Kontact. For you crashes occur in both cases? With and without Kontact?

Hi Slávek,
thanks a bunch for your interest. I try to elaborate as good as I remember:
I was since some time (months) on R14.0.1 from mirror mentioned above but without constantly updating. I had severe problems with gnuplot (using term x11) that - very often - crashed TDE in one instant without any message / notice anywhere. Very anoying! All open windows gone, I hat to logg-in again and recreate my working environment.
That was the reason to upgrade to the latest version of R14.0.1. Unfortunately I can not remember if I used apt-get upgrade or dist-upgrade. All packeges have been updated successfully. Some time later, I realized that I no longer could launch Kontak with its icon. I launched it from Konsole and got the error message I described in my latest post.
For I mainly use Kmail from Kontakt I launched Kmail from Konsole and it opened and downloaded new mails. But trying to send a mail Kmail froze in sending and I was not able to stop the send process or to terminate Kmail by any button or menu entry. So I had to kill it.
Afterwards I was not longer able to launch Kmail. It crashed at once with a message I can not remember. For my guess was that it was due to the upgrade, I tried to downgrade to a save state (R14.0.0) with some troubles (described in the other mail).
After sucessfully deleting all TDE packages R14.0.1 and reinstalling R14.0.0 still I was not able to launch Kontakt or Kmail. I created a new testuser and logged in with a fresh .trinity folder. Kmail worked. Obviously something was broken in my .trinity settings. I tried to compare both folders / subfolders with "meld" without success.
Fortunately I hat a 2 month old backup of the .trinity folder that I restored. Afterwards Kontakt and Kmail worked again like a charm. So I suspect if I upgrade again to R14.0.1 it might work as well with the repaired .trinity folder but I have not yet tested (it's a production machine and I can not allow it to chrash again).
Nonetheless if I can do anything for further investigation please let me know.
Gerhard
PS: gnuplot still crashs X often when using (set term x11) for the graphical output. I meanwhile compiled latest version myself and use now "set term qt" as the graphical terminal that works without a hickup. I'm a bit surprised that an application is able to chrash X from one moment to the next.

This morning connections worked flauless, the same IP adres now connects without a hitch.
Something to do with redirection of mirrors?
dist-upgrade to r14.0.0 is on its way.
Thanks Tim.
