I'm wondering whether anyone managed to do a Debian Buster upgrade? Does TDE work with Buster? Are there important things to be aware of?

TTBOMK there's no TDE Stable for Buster (yet) so you have to use TDE PSB. The upgrade worked fine except for multiple displays. After the upgrade TDE was highly unstable until I disabled the second display using nvidia-settings. Otherwise everything including kmail, firefox, a couple of steam games, and amarok is working fine.

Not Debian, but Devuan. Works like a charm :) On Debian systemd is going to bite you (once more), this time with endless waittimes on boot on low entropy systems.

Buster works fine with sysvinit.
Be sure to read the Release Notes for useful tips.

Being using TDE on buster+systemd all the time buster was "testing" (now on bullseye). TDE works like a charm and buster also worked like a charm, as long as you make sure to trim down systemd waiting timeout to 5s or less. No bites : - -)
cheers Michele
