Hi,
I tried to sign up for bugzilla at http://bugs.pearsoncomputing.net/ to report a bug, but this doesn't work anymore. I mailed kb9vqf@pearsoncomputing.net but didn't get a reply. I noticed mail from this address on the list, so I hope it's picked up here ;)
The bug I want to report is that although kdm-kde3 installs /etc/pam.d/kdm-kde3 and /etc/pam.d/kdm-np-kde3
The installed kdm actually uses /etc/pam.d/kdm and /etc/pam.d/kdm-np
Which are from the kdm (KDE4) package. When purging the kdm package, this will break passwordless and auto logins and sessions will use incorrect language settings with kdm-kde3. There are probably a few more issues, but LANG not getting set properly was the most noticable for me.
I hope this bug can be fixed.
Thanks in advance, Julius
Hi Julius,
While the bugtracker is down feel free to send the bugs to this list.
I will see what I can do about the bug.
Bugzilla itself seems to have recently broken SMTP authentication support for unknown reasons--hopefully this will be fixed soon!

Thanks!
Should I also reports bugs about the karmic version here? Last time I tried it I still had some issues. Do I need to include the intrepid & jaunty repositories too for it?

Hi Julius,
Go right ahead. Karmic is a standalone repository; it does not need the Intrepid or Jaunty repositories to function. (This is also why bugs that are fixed in Karmic are not fixed in Intrepid or Jaunty).
Tim
Thanks!
