Why I cannot receive my emails with kmail (trinity) with a Yahoo account, (password never recognised), all emails configurations are good, but only by the Yahoo Webmail ?
Thanks,
André

Hi André,
Back in October, Yahoo and AOL announced changes to access their e-mail, when using a third-party application, such as Thunderbird, Kmail, or through a non-Yahoo or non-AOL app.
The information on https://help.yahoo.com/kb/new-mail-for-desktop/learn-generate-third-party-pa... will direct you on how to set up access with a third-party application.

I tried and I confirm. I actually did not remember that I had a yahoo account...
But using:
login: yahoo enail password: app password Host: pop.mail.yahoo.com Port: 995
and SSL/Login
I managed to get my mail.
I did not try IMAP.

Hello,
No answer to my question ?
With the MUA Thunderbird, it works, but not with Kmail (TDE). Is Kmail able to work with Mail Yahoo Server ?
I'm sure that they are members in this list who have a Yahoo account.
pop.mail.yahoo.com Port SSL : 995 <mail-user>@yahoo.com
Hope to receive a help. Thanks,
André

Please go to kmail settings for your account. There is a second tab "Extras". There you find a button "Check server capabilities" (loosly translated from german localisation). When you press that button, kmail sould set the correct encryption methode for the sever. If it failes (SSL vs. TLS) just try all combinations (not that many).

Hello,
No answer to my question ?
At the time you wrote that, there had already been two answers to your question. Since then, there have been seven more answers.
Please check that you are receiving them all. Check your junk mail. If all else fails, check the web archive:
https://mail.trinitydesktop.org/mailman3/hyperkitty/list/users@trinitydeskto...
And it would be nice if you would confirm that you are receiving responses.
Also, please check that you are subscribed to the correct mailing list. The old mailing list at pearsoncomputing.net is going away.
Does anyone know how to extract the sender's original email address from the migration agent email? It would be nice to email Andre directly, in case he is not getting responses from the list.

This is in case an interesting problem: as long as the TO does not go to web archive he'll not know if he gets all mails :)

It shows up in From on emails to the old list: ajh.valmer@free.fr
He's still sending to the old list, so my guess is he's not subscribed to the new list, so hasn't seen any of the replies. If you email him, might be good to remind him to change over to the new list.

Yes, it's so, he used the old ML.I already pointed him to it, so he probably works on change on his side :)

Hello André Sadly i not use yahoo, so i cant help you on specifics.
I dont know if you test name resolution and other network issues first( host xxxx), ip reaching (ping / traceroute), hand login (openssl s_client -connect xxxxxxxxxxxxxx:995 -crlf -quiet).
In general is good idea search for any type of error message. Sometimes if you launch the program from a console you get messages that becomes hidden normally. You mention thunderbird, thunderbird works: In the same computer with same OS? Or work another computer in the office?
I hope give a clue to you. Best Regards. Christian
