---------------------------------------- Hi everybody,
Well, no response at all could be very significative. I will suppose that none of the users of this list use this KMail filtering feature.
Thank you for the attention paid to these posts. Patrick

Please don't take silence as a response. Your language was very difficult to understand, and feature requests should be submitted to the bugtracker, not sent in on this list.

--------------------------------------------------------------------- (((-: Well, it's not my language, but your's ;-)
I use google to help, but it's hard to be clear, anyway. I'm really sorry about that.
It would be good to fill a bug report for: bug fixing: inhibiting the use of this filter for IMAP accounts wish: the improvement (so badly) described above. I will do that as soon as possible.
Cheers Patrick

For what it's worth, I stopped using Kmail's filters once I learned that the developers had marked as "Won't Fix" a serious bug where it could lose emails when used with IMAP if filters were active.
I now either filter by hand, or using procmail on my server.

--------------------------------------------------------------------- Hi Steven,
I think that the filters you are talking about are those you can set from the menu "Settings", the item "configure POP filters".
The filtering I was talking about is done by the user, while reading a table of the mails available for downloading, on the POP servers.
Cheers Patrick

--------------------------------------------------------------------- Hi Steven,
Sorry about that: "configure POP filters" is for POP protocol, not IMAP! I wrote too fast that because I had problems with those filters and stopped to use them, too.
Cheers Patrick
Exe GNU/Linux new version 3.3 is done
http://exe-linux.fastfishwebsolutions.com/trinity/exegnulinux_3.3.iso
Main differences from previous versions:
TDE 3.5.13.1 (Stable Release Update) All current Squeeze updates Updated installer Wicd included (gui network connection manager) Disk-manager included (gui for partition mounts including ntfs-3g) Improved Spanish language support in custom scripts (thanks Alexis)
Seems just about everything works even better. but so far tested only here, and not very much.
Thanks mostly to the TDE team for 3.5.13.1 Many previous bugs affecting Debian seem fixed, notably kdesu.
Testers/feedback welcome. Please note, ExeGNU is neither official TDE nor Debian project.

---------------------------------------- Hi everybody,
Even if the subject does not interest anyone, I would like to be understood. I was talking of this filtering:
Menu "Settings" -> Item "configure KMail" new window "Configure KMail Selector "Accounts", Tab "Receiving" Double clic on a POP account or select then Button "Modify" new window "Modify Account - KMail x Filter messages if they are greater than... (see attached)
This checkbox is not present in the "Add Account - KMail" window, Account type: IMAP Account.
Thank you for the attention paid to these posts. Patrick
