Why I cannot receive my emails with Kmail (trinity) with a Yahoo account, (password never recognised), all emails configurations are good, but only by the Yahoo Webmail ? Thanks, André
Hello,
No answer to my question ?
With the MUA Thunderbird, it works, but not with Kmail (TDE). Is Kmail able to work with Mail Yahoo Server ?
I'm sure that they are members in this list who have a Yahoo account.
pop.mail.yahoo.com Port SSL : 995 <mail-user>@yahoo.com
Hope to receive a help. Thanks,
I tried IMAP, but with no success. [AUTHENTICATIONFAILED] LOGIN Invalid credentials

Not much because it is same information as in the link I posted, but it does not work.

The remaining possibility is that the Authentication Method is wrong. Unfortunately, modern mail servers never disclose which of these they are using; presumably it is one of ● Clear text ○ LOGIN ○ PLAIN ○ CRAM-MD5 ○ DIGEST-MD5 ○ NTLM ○ GSSAPI ○ Anonymous found in Configure => Accounts => Receiving => account type imap => Security. (N.B. I have found in the past that using the [Check what the server supports] button often returns the wrong value.)
